Pregnancy is almost over!

I’m almost to the finish line!!

I recently went to my first cervical exam to see if I was dilated any and nothing was going on down there. My little one is enjoying herself in there. I’m so ready to just meet her and see how she’s going to look, act and just hold her in my arms.

Looking back over the past 9 months, I’ve actually had an amazing pregnancy. I didn’t have any morning sickness, heartburn or any major complications throughout. During the first trimester I was extremely tired and I had some headaches. I later learn that the headaches were from caffeine intake. I was still having my Starbucks coffee once in a while. Once I cut that out I was totally fine.

As of right now I have gained only 25 pounds for the entire pregnancy. This is one thing that was haunting me the entire time. I was so caught up on making sure I’m able to “snap back” once I had her.  Now don’t get me wrong. I did have my weeks in there where I indulged in whatever I please. During the first trimester I gained 18 pounds and after I heard that, that’s when I started to eat more healthier.

How was your pregnancy? Did you experience morning sickness at all? What about heartburn? swelling?

I had a few nights where I had heartburn but once I increase my water intake I was fine.

It’s getting down to the last few weeks and I’m trying to remain patient. I have the hospital bag pack, took my hospital tour, finished the take home outfit for her and  cleaned my house throughly. Now I’m just fiddling my thumbs and watching netflix to  pass the time away.

What did you do to pass the time away when waiting for your newborn to enter into the world?

I would love to hear from you!
